N.J.A.C. 18:24-8.2 - Exemption Not Based on Nonprofit Status

An organization is not exempt from tax merely because it is a nonprofit organization. In order to establish this exemption, it is necessary that every organization claiming exemption file an Application for Exempt Organization Certificate (Form REG-1E) with the Division of Taxation.
