45 IAC 23-1-1 Trip permit

Sec. 1. (a) For purposes of this section, a trip permit may be:

(1) issued instead of full registration;

(2) used as directed by the department of state revenue (department) for both interstate and intrastate movement;

(3) issued for a seventy-two (72) hour period, valid beginning 12:01 a.m. on the initial day designated by the applicant;

(4) issued only to applicants based in an International Registration Plan jurisdiction;

(5) issued after payment of a fifteen dollar ($15) fee to the department; and

(6) obtained before entering the state of Indiana by the vehicle using the trip permit.

(b) For purposes of this section, "trip permit" means a limited permit issued by the department to any vehicle allowed to lawfully operate in Indiana.
